About Me

I believe that we are our own best healers.

I view therapy as a way to find meaning in

challenges through a  unique, collaborative

process that unfolds organically.

My passion for psychology came to me in my youth.

It was then that I learned that by bringing my

innermost fears into conscious awareness, I

could transform my circumstances and live a

more resilient and authentic life.

Becoming consciously aware provided me with a

valuable opportunity to explore the meaning of

my own life, and awakened a passion and a

calling to help others facing difficulties.

I am constantly amazed at the innate ability we

all posses to heal ourselves in times of great

challenge.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology

from Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont,

and a Master of Arts degree in Counseling

Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute

in Santa Barbara, California.

After a two-year internship at Counseling West

in Southern California, I moved to Seattle in 1995,

where I became a Registered Counselor with the

State of Washington.  Subseuquently I received

my license as a Washington State Marriage

& Family Therapist, and continue to be

progressive with continuing education,

both out of personal interest and to  stay abreast

in this exciting and ever-changing field.

I offer counseling to individuals & couples in a safe,

supportive and compassionate environment.

My office is conveniently located in West Seattle,

just 10 minutes from downtown.
